Planning permission for Phase 1 was granted in March 2022. Site preparation works have been underway since this date. Vibration, noise and dust monitoring equipment was installed prior to construction activity to ensure compliance with the limits allowed by the planning permission and to ensure minimal disruption to neighbours.
A piling contractor was subsequently appointed and piling activity began in late September 2022. A type of ‘bore’ pile to minimise noise and vibrations has been used on site wherever possible.
The main contract for the development is currently out to tender, and the estimated commencement date is later this summer.
The hours of operation for the construction granted in the planning permission are 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 2pm Saturday.
Future phases of Glass Bottle will feature an exciting mix of residential, retail, offices, enterprise space, and community facilities.
