Glass Bottle residents were welcomed to Ringsend last Thursday for a barbecue and boat trips down the Liffey, hosted by our neighbours at Poolbeg Yacht & Boat Club.
A big thank you to Poolbeg Yacht & Boat Club in Ringsend, who hosted a brilliant community barbecue for Glass Bottle residents on Thursday evening.
Everyone got a real taste of life on the water, with boat trips down the Liffey aboard the newly restored Seán Whiston junior training boat — a lovely way to bring the community closer to the river on its doorstep.
Poolbeg Yacht & Boat Club sits on the South Bank at Pigeon House Road, just minutes from Glass Bottle. It's a community club in a genuinely special setting, running sailing courses and camps for both adults and children throughout the year.
A special mention to Rhona Byrne, Gordon Kelley, the junior sailing instructor team and the catering staff for putting on such a great evening.
