Sand House is officially open

The second residential building at Glass Bottle has opened its doors, welcoming its first residents to 172 fully furnished homes overlooking Dublin Bay.

There's a particular moment in any development when it stops being a building and becomes somewhere people live. Sand House reached it this week.

Following the opening of Lime House last year, Sand House is the second residential building to open at Glass Bottle — and the first residents have now begun to move in.

Sand House is home to 172 fully furnished studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, each with floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony or terrace looking out across the bay, the city or the Dublin mountains. Interiors have been curated throughout, with contemporary two-tone kitchens, integrated Neff appliances, fitted wardrobes and a separate utility room in every home.

Life at Sand House unfolds from the top down. Rooftop terraces invite residents to dine, relax or watch a film under the open sky. Just below, the fifteenth-floor Sky Lounge offers space for private dining and co-working, wrapped in uninterrupted 360° views of Dublin — city, coast and mountains in every direction.

At ground level, a state-of-the-art gym and fitness studio, a yoga and spin studio, a wellness suite with sauna and plunge pool, a private screening room, residents' lounges, a games room and flexible co-working spaces complete a building designed around living well. An onsite management team is there every day, and the whole building is pet friendly.

Beyond the door, Dublin Bay is a few steps away. Irishtown Nature Reserve, Sandymount Strand and the coastal cycle routes toward Dún Laoghaire are all on the doorstep, with Sandymount village, the DART and Dublin city centre close by.
